Why Long Staple Cotton?
Long staple cotton (also called long-fibre cotton) uses fibres that are significantly longer than standard cotton. When spun into yarn, these longer fibres create fewer joins, which means the fabric is smoother to the touch, pills less over time, and holds its shape better after repeated washing. It’s the same reason Egyptian and Pima cotton are considered premium — the fibre length is the key variable. This shirt uses long staple cotton to deliver a noticeably softer feel without the premium price tag.
